I agree that black is very hard to get out. I dyed my hair black a year and two months ago and it was only supposed to last 24 washes... It is still black!!! If you want to keep the black for at least a year then I would say go to a salon if you can but remember it probably will hold onto your hair and never let go!

I wouldnt suggest dying your hair black whether it was with permanent or semi permanent hair color. Black is the hardest color to get out of your hair and unless you want black hair forever I wouldn't suggest dying it that dark. I would go to Sally's and get a Demi-permanent color and maybe a dark dark brown but not black. Just make sure that you read what the "base color" is because you might end up with the wrong shade. Anyone in the beauty supply store should be able to answer your questions and point you in the right direction. Good Luck!
