A few days ago I dyed my hair with non permanent hair dye, I meant to buy permanent. Can I redye it

I was wondering if I should wait unitll the color washed out and fades to re-dye it or can I just go ahead and dye it permanently. My hair was dirty blonde (highlights) and I dyed it to a dark brown (toasted almond) Natural Instincts? I really love the color and I don't want to go through the weeks with it fading everyday.

My hair is really healthy looking and not badly damaged at all.

I was also told by a friend that my hair would go through a PINK stage and I would like to avoid this. Any suggestions would be helpfull.

Thanks

I'd wait for the dye to wash out ; you should give your hair a break between each dye-ing.

Yes, I would just dye it as soon as I noticed it fading tremendously, but not right away.

Sometimes the temporary color looks better than the permanent so take note of that. You can dye your hear with permanent today - it will not hurt it. I have done it within less time - I would not bleach and do anything else in the same day, but you temp will be fine.

I would wait if you are going to do it yourself, because when using box coloring dye there are different products in it and if you re dye over using a different dye it could have a chemical recation and give you spots in your hair, burn your head, and also might make your hair even fall out in so rare ocassions. But if I were you I would go to a hair salon and have the professional dye your hair. There chemaicls they use are much more friendly than box color.. the the result will be more to your liking
