I used to work at a beauty supply store (Sallys) not sure if you heard of it. Well theres this dye that comes out within a few washes. Any hair dye thats selofaine (could of spelled that wrong) comes out easily. So just look for selofaine hair dye.

As long as your hair grow

yes there is look for the dyes that say "temporary" on it :D

You can't dye your hair blonde if its dark. You have to strip the colour out, and that is permanent. You can go darker, though, just get a type 1 dye. that kind is temporary and washes out in 12 washings or less

Look for a Level 1 hair coloring--these usually last 7 to 14 shampoos.

You can try L'Oreal's ColourPulse or a similar one by Garnier. The L'Oreal one didn't quite work out for me because I have dark brown hair. Maybe if you have blonde/light brown hair the results would be more noticeable. But the only caveat is that the color washes off easily - be careful when you wear light-colored clothing.

Hair dye that doesnt last long?

Firstly, you can't "dye" your hair blonde. You can bleach it or highlight if it's darker. But buying a box of blonde dye (God forbid) at Wal-mart and putting over your dark brown hair is only going to leave you with uneven splotches of orange and yellow.

Secondly, if you're considering bleaching your hair, it doesn't wash out.

Hair is made lighter by changing part or all of the melanin pigment in the cortex into a colorless substance. The melanin is not washed out of the hair - it is changed chemically, and the change cannot be reversed.

Thus to fix the effects of the bleach, you would have to re-dye your hair back to it's natural colour, which is almost impossible to do at home. Many people don't realize that bleach strips the hair of moisture. Porosity of the hair increases with each bleach, making it more and more difficult to work with. If trying to dye self-done blonde at home, chances are you won't get the dark brown dye even, and you will wind up with ash-coloured tresses.

Go to a professional, who can actually look at and feel your hair... and who can let you know what the best option would be (if it even *would* be best) for turning you into a blonde.

Hair dye that doesnt last long?

Short answer: If you have dark hair, it is IMPOSSIBLE to dye your hair blonde temporarily .

Long answer: Assuming you have dark hair, the only way to get blonde hair is to bleach it. If you want to lighten your hair, you can try "semi-permanent" dyes, which wash out over time. "Demi-permanent" dyes will fade into different colors as the weeks go by.

Most semi permanent colors wash out in that time, but a lot of factors can cause any color not to follow the norm. Health, hair damage, life styles are just some of the factors. You can't dye your hair blond. You remove the darker colors and redeposit colors. Each head of hair is different. If your hair is very dark, you have to bleach the hair first, to get to the blond tones. If you choose a shade 2 to 3 shades lighter than your own you can ( most of the time) achieve your goal, because hair color causes the cuticle layer (outer layer of a hair) to lift in order to deposit the color molecules. When this happens, you lose some of your natural color. The dye replaces it with the color you apply. Check with a salon so they can determine the condition of YOUR hair, and what will need to be done to get the level of blond you are going for.
