Hair Dye - Pink - Blonde ?

My natural hair colour is brown and it was bleached blonde for 7/8months and last week I used semi-perm pink dye on it. I want my fringe blonde and to keep the rest pink so do I need to get hair colour stripper to get the pink out first or will bleach blonde go over the pink?

if its semi permanant just wash it a lot because it only stays 5-8 washes... if it still doesn't come out just bleach over it... don't use color stripper its really harsh and should only be used on black or red hair

If you use a stripper it could literally cause a lot of damage. Strippers remove color just like bleach does. Get it done professionally if you want to be sure you don't ruin your hair. And blonde hair color over pink will NOT work.

the prof. stylist above me doesn't seem to really be a professional or know what shes talking about.

bleach will remove color.. but i wouldn't suggest it.

go to a salon and have them strip the pink out.

don't try to put bleach over it because theres a chance you're hair will fall out! be careful

bleaching hair makes it more porous and prone to more damage. im not a hairdresser but i recommend going to see a colour technician who will take the pink out without damaging your hair too much

Well I've only dyed black over pink. But blonde should cover up the pink. Just get it done professionaly.

When was the last time you bleached it?

If when you wet it, it stretches, avoid bleaching your hair until atleast 1" of your natural hair grows out.

If you want to speed up the fading of the pink, use a laundry detergent.

Which dye did you use?

I've been using Manic Panic or Beyond the Zone for years, and I'll tell you that when they mean semi-permanent, it doesn't mean a couple of washes, it means that most of it fades, and the rest is permanent. I have green, blue, and pink in my hair from dying over and over the different colors, and it always fades back down to those base colors.

You can bleach/strip your hair all you want, but I warn you that it will fry.

Go get the edges trimmed and ask the stylist what you can do further.
