Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

ok

so like i have natural dark brown hair

and i want to dye it like some kind of funky color

but only for A COUPLE days

and i was looking for those temporary dyes

the lady at sallys beauty suplies sed to use this spray stuff

but that ended up all dusty and ****

does this happen to anyone else?

second part of question:

does anyone kno a hairdye that would look good?

i want like a blue or red

without bleaching my hair would be preferable but if i haf to bleach it i want the dye to come out with only a few washes

so ya

anyone got any suggestions?

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

At wal-mart that have different kinds of wash out in funky calls

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

at walmart you can buy l'oreal dye that has cartoons on the cover of girls and it's temporary dye that lasts for 12 showers. They have red, blue, black, and a pink color.

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

Manic Panic (You can find it at Hot Topic, among other places)

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

dont bleach it but use hair dye w-o peroxyde

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

at sallys they also have these bottles of dye, and they come in like ALL colors, but they last like 2 weeks, is that short enough?

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

not gonna happen. any colour you put on brown will be diluted by the original colour. it won't be nearly as obvious as i think you want it to be. you gotta bleach it first. but, it won't be temporary. bleached hair just loves to suck up colour. and the bleached out colour you're left with is not attractive. however, a professional should be able to put a few streaks of decent colour in. also not temporary. i think there's a conair tool with "paints" out there but i don't know anyone who's used it, sorry.

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

I'm not sure there is a dye out there that will fade away in a few days... the only ones I know of are either one-use or like, month-long usage. So can't help you there. As for the bleaching, I have light brown hair and I HAVE to bleach my hair before dyeing or the dye won't even show up. Annoying, yeah...

As far as colors, just be careful if you go with red. If you have any red marks, blemishes, acne ect. on your face I wouldn't reccommend red, because it just highlights all the bad stuff. (Believe me, I tried pink hair for a while. Did NOT look sexy.)

Which hair dye brand is best?

my hair is naturally light blonde. a few weeks ago, i dyed it light brown %26amp; i really liked it, but right when it got warm out and i began to spend a good amount of time out in the sun, it faded right back to my natural color. i want to dye it dark brown now, but i dont want it to start fading into an ugly color. which brand from the supermarket/drug store do you think is the best?

Which hair dye brand is best?

I would say that most store bought haircolor is created pretty equal. The more important issue is preventing the fading. First, wash hair in as cool water as you can stand hot water opens the cuticle and lets the color out. Use a GOOD color shampoo, no since in washing your color down the drain. And use a sun protection spray with SPF in it when you are going outdoors.

Which hair dye brand is best?

anyone not bought in america.

american made stuff fades out quick to keep you buying more, try ordering from europe or asia from an online store to get quality hair color.

Which hair dye brand is best?

stay away from loreal their colours are flat and go much darker than what is shown on the packet and many people say they fade even the permanent range. Any dye with a gold or caramel in it will give good highlight and colour, semi permanents will fade within 24 washes, napro live within 6-8 washes, and permanents should not fade at all as they grow out, the higher percentage of peroxide the more drying it will be to your hair and the more it will bleach it, so use a good intensive treatment afterwards.

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

I Have red hair and I want it to be blonde, does any one know the best hair dye to do this with

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

Get it done professionally. Take it from someone who has had every color of hair. Once I accidentally turned my hair gray! Getting the right shade of blonde is difficult. I would only recommend that those with light brown or dark blond hair attempt it at home. Red hair is particularly difficult to change to blond. You may end up with a really brassy blond if you try to do it at home. You'll wind up paying a salon even more to fix it , and you will damage your hair.

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

u dont wanna be a blonde theyre overrated

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

Get this done professionally its really hard to color red hair. If you must do it yourself get an ash blond color in a permanent hair color. I always liked feria

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

Go to a beauty supply store and ask a professional, but dont forget to grab some stuff to drip into your dye that takes the red out. That would be your best bet unless you want to go to a salon.

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

bleach

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

You should have it professionally done so it doesn't look too fake. Whatever you do, don't go bleach blonde, that type of change is too much.

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

Is your hair natually red or colored, because if it is colored red and you want to go blonde, go to a salon and have it done. Red is one of the most hardest colors to totaly get out of your hair.

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

you need to buy the hair dye that completely takes out the color of your hair. Then you find the blond color that you like and dye it.I can't remember if it's by Lorelle or not,but it worked for almost black hair to blond for me

Hair dye during pregnancy?

this may sound like a daft question but i have no idea lol so thats why i thought id ask.ermm can i dye my hair while being pregnant??

Hair dye during pregnancy?

my cousin asked me the same question while she was pregnant with her third baby.

yeah its perfectly OK to dye your hair while your pregnant, it wont harm the baby or you

go ahead and treat yourself to a new hair colour, u need a little pampering while your pregnant.

oh and congratulations on the pregnancy

Hair dye during pregnancy?

yes. its perfectly fine to. it wont harm the baby

=]

Hair dye during pregnancy?

You can after the first trimester. Try to use ones without a lot of ammonia in them.

Hair dye during pregnancy?

I dyed mine while I was pregnant. I talked to my OB about it and he said there was nothing wrong with it, and I was a high risk pregnancy. People all have different views on this topic.

Hair dye during pregnancy?

they say not to ... i imagine it would be ok.. i was blonde before and when i fell pregant i had it dyed back to natural colour.. i didnt dye it since then! i think it will be fine they just say not to for some reason.

Hair dye during pregnancy?

I would not use any narley ones or bleach, and wear a mask, even if there is no probability of chemical absorption harming the baby the fumes might.

Hair dye during pregnancy?

I just used one of those temporary rinses to make sure

the baby didn't get affected during pregnancy.

Hair dye during pregnancy?

i was in the same dialema as you, i am now 38 weeks pregnant and have held off all this time. but i feel so big and heavy and ugly(cause pregnancy has brought on acne) that i needed something to make me feel better and get rid of my roots lol.

i asked my midwife on tuesday and she said it is fine to dye your hair as long as you are past the first trimester,i still felt abit weird dying it in my third mind you.

try to buy one with low or no amonia and pref not bleach

Hair dye during pregnancy?

if u want to i would use one with less amonia that way the smell wont upset anything and if your still really worried call n ask your doctor thats what there for when u got any questions

good luck

Hair dye during pregnancy?

It is wise to reduce the toxic load on your body as much as possible during pregnancy. It used to be thought that the placenta was a barrier that kept all nasties away from the baby. It is now understood that many substances, including the chemicals in products such as hair dye can get through to the baby.

There is no scientific evidence that these chemicals harm the baby but if you are being prudent, it is best to avoid them especially in the first trimester when most of the development is taking place.

Hair dye during pregnancy?

Most hair dyes now are very low in toxins anyway but the reason it tends to not be recommended is that there is also no proof that it won't do any harm.

Another reason as well is that the hormonal changes in your body can effect your hair in different ways and even if you've used a dye before it could damage your hair or scalp in ways that it hasn't done in the past.

Should I dye my puppies hair?

While walking home yesterday an odd little puppy followed me home the odd thing is that she is only about 9weeks old and has DUCT TAPE around his muzzle. I brought him to the vet to remove the duct tape and since he was dirty and skinny I fed him and gave him a bath. since he was so gentle my parents let me keep him. Later I was when I was on the computer I read about dog fighting and how they would use puppies and small dogs as bait. Now I think there might be illegal dog fighting in my neighborhood. If I am seen with their bait that got away they might track my house down. Is this a good reason to dye his hair as long as it is safe and wont harm the puppy? An where can I buy hair dye that is safe for him?

Should I dye my puppies hair?

OK now you are getting a little carried away

You never ever dye a dogs hair that can kill her and I think it has already been threw enough abuse

Just be very careful as to where you take the pup don't take her any ware for a while unless to the vet then keep her in a dogie jacket

When You let her out put her in a Tshirt or something and do it in a place like your back yard where she wont be noticed and watch over her

Just keep her in Tshirts and Jackets and with in a few weeks she is going to change so much in looks you wont even recognize her yourself

But Put clothes on her Never ever Put any Chemicals on her that is so dangerous

Take Care

Anne

Should I dye my puppies hair?

Is there anyway you can hide the dog until it gets older? I'd also suggest registering the dog in your name and getting license tags so that you can prove the dog is yours if you had to. Perhaps if you can hide the dog until it grows some, they won't recognize the dog.

Should I dye my puppies hair?

I understand that you want to dye your puppies hair, but like any dye its not permanant. Dont dye your puppies hair just watch him very carefully so no one sees him. Go to a different neighborhood to walk him. Hair Dye is niether safe or a good idea. You see it in poodles but its still not good and they are mostly adult dogs. It would be harmful for puppies.

Should I dye my puppies hair?

Are you serious? Don't dye your puppies fur. It's weird and will probably make him sick (even if it says it's safe). I've never heard of this and would never recommend it.

Should I dye my puppies hair?

good on you for doing that, i mean saving a disstressed puppies life. i dont think dying the puppies fur would be a good thing

Should I dye my puppies hair?

I don really think u should punish ur dog by dying his hair...maybe let it grow! I think you should tell the police about your theory.....

Should I dye my puppies hair?

No!

Like the dog fighters would even give a crap about one bait dog getting loose and in the back of my mind why would they duct tape a puppies mouth. Troll.

Should I dye my puppies hair?

no

Should I dye my puppies hair?

People who fight dogs should be shot. Keep your new puppy inside to keep him safe.

Should I dye my puppies hair?

if you think there is illegal dog fighting in your neighborhood you should report it so animal control can start investigating.. as for dying your dog's hair... cant help you there. i wouldn't do it... cause dye fades so eventually the poor thing will still be recognized.

Should I dye my puppies hair?

You need to report the dog fighting before you even consider dying the dog's hair.

If you wish to disguise your dog, ask you vet what he suggests. There may be more options than you think.

Should I dye my puppies hair?

They won't look for him, and if they did, you get their names, addresses and report them to the police and Animal Services.

Do NOT give them that dog, he's obviously been abused and will be more abused if they get him back, I doubt they care enough to look for him.

As to dying his hair, I suspect he's had enough misery, just be good to him and hide him if you have to.

Report these people for dog fighting - have the courage to protect this little dog if you know that is what he was for - don't give him back, whatever you do.

Should I dye my puppies hair?

If you really want to dye your dog's hair, then go for it. :)

This will not make your dog really sick.

I used to dye my poodle-terrier's hair in the summer when she was younger.

Boil 5 cups of water in a stainless steel pot on the stove top. When water comes to a boil, add 4 to 6 packages of Kool-Aid or another very similar sugarless drink mix. Continue boiling it for a around 3 to 5 minutes. Turn it off and take it off the burner and let it cool (or warm).

When its warm or cool, put on tight rubber or latex gloves. Put your dog in a small tub, or sink (with the plug in it).

Pour the Kool-Aid dye on your dog bit by bit, on diffrent places of the dog's body to make sure that he or she is all covered/soaked in it. Rub it into the dog's fur after each time you pour it on, or as you pour it on.

Have someone hold open a garbage bag, and put the dog in it with it's face sticking out of it. Hold the dog in the bag for up to 20 minutes (the longer the better). Time goes by fast if you're watching a TV show while your holding it.

When time is up, put the dog back in the sink or tub (with no plug in it) and rinse the dog until the water runs clear. Dry the dog off, and let it dry. The dog should/will be the color of the Kool-Aid that you used.

The dog's skin will not be harmed in any way.

If its a fuzzy poodle type of dog, than you should also give him a hair cut. Just trim the fur on his ears, and snout, that will make him hard to recognize.

Should I dye my puppies hair?

Sorry, not a good enough reason for me. There are lots of dogs and puppies that look similar. Get a leash and collar, find a name and enjoy your puppy.

If someone hassles you about the puppy, tell the police, humane society, k9 control.....no shortage of people in a position to help. Infact, why not tell them now, so if there is a problem down the road they will know what you are talking about.

Should I dye my puppies hair?

Thanks for saving the puppy, there should be more people out there like you.

just get it tagged and registered in your name. Don't let the dog outside unattended. Keep an eye out for strange people. drop a note to your local police office.

don't dye him. it's not really good for adults, and certainly not for puppies.

Should I dye my puppies hair?

You should not dye the dog fur at all. Permanent dye is not good for human hair much less an animal! It would be best to report any dog fighting to the local police and the animal control department for your city. Keep an eye on your dog and walk it in another neighborhood when needed.

Should I dye my puppies hair?

Don't dye your puppies hair. If you seriously think there is dog fighting going on in your neighborhood, contact the ASPCA and they will look into it. As others have said, get the dog liscenced in your name. I doubt that once you've cleaned the dog up and he's gained some weight that anyone will be able to recognize him. I think you are safe!

P.S. Bless you for taking in a puppy like this and giving it a loving home!!

Hair dye - dark?

I have naturally brown hair but I want to dye it darker, every time I try it seems to fade and go medium brown again. Why is this and what can I do about it?

Hair dye - dark?

Maybe you are washing your hair too soon or too much. After you color it wait a few days before you wash it.If you wash your hair alot that will deff cause it to fade.Make sure you use color protecting shampoo.I like redken and matrix. If your in the sun alot its always good to use a hair product with an SPF in it.If your hair still continues to fade I would say go to a salon and find out what is causing your hair to fade.

Hair dye - dark?

You may find your hair is porus. Has it been previously coloured? If it has or the condition isn't too great the hair can also be more porus. This can make the hair fade more.

Also, you didn't say which type of hair colour you have used, permanent, quasi or semi. Both a semi and quasi are designed to fade, this is what reduces the regrowth.

Hope this is of some help. If you want to add some more detial please do and I'll check your question again a bit later.

Also, what shampoo are you using? Use one for colour treated hair and if you can affore it, you should try a professional one. Works out better value in the long run.

Hair dye - dark?

You need to get a fixture. Ask your local hairdresser.
