Doing something like that probably isn't a good idea to do at home. That is something you need to get professionally done if you want it to look right.

i did that for the first time they have stuff at cvs i forget what its called it stated with a n but its really good it lasted about 3 weeks

The only truly temporary thing would be colored hairspray. Other than that depending on the condition of your hair, you could have this black a lot longer than you want. Even a semi-perm color that SAYS it will wash out after 14 shampoos can stick around- depending on your condition and how you processed your hair. Think about it. Best of luck.
