Hair dye issues?

I have naturally dark hair..and I want to know why when I buy dye from a box thats like red or something it dosent work....I always buy the temporary...to see if I like it...but besides a light light tint I never get color whats up? It says on the side that if your hair is like brown to black it will lighten this much but it dosent?

There are (7) stages to light up your hair.

From black or dark brown, it has to go down 7 stages to

make what is called a perfect "LIFT"

So, if you are dark brown and you buy red, it's not going to lift

your hair only but perhaps (1) step. which is not much.

You don't explain what color you want to be. But keep in mind,

that you go thru 7 stages to bring it from dark to pale light blond.

If you buy a semi permanent tint, forget it. That's not going to do it.

You need a real tint with peroxide in it to make the true lift

of color. Get it?

you have to have a good amount of bleach to bring hair down to lighter and that kind of volume you will not find in a box when hairdressers do it they use either 30 volume or 40 bleach and the color, if the box is not working for you you will have to have it professionally done.

You also may not be reaching your desired color if you have previous color already on your hair. Color does not remove color. Hope that makes sense.
