Blonde hair dye for dark strwaberry blondes?

i have naturally dark-strawberry-blonde/gingery hair (more treacle tart colour) and have recently tried to dye it really light blonde. it went wrong and only the roots area went pale gingery-blonde and it looks AWFUL!! can anyone recommend a good hair dye that can get me a really light blonde or bleached blonde look?

In order to be light blonde or get the bleach blonde look you more than likely need to lighten your hair with a super lifter and then tone or bleach your hair... you cannot put a lighter hair dye on dark hair and expect it to turn out. It will only take to the roots like your hair did. I suggest going to a salon. If you dont want to spend a lot of money, just go to a hair cuttery or something... they dont charge very much for color there.... good luck

Get yourself to a good hair salon. Pay whatever it takes for them to fix your hair. Then ask how you can maintain your hair at home.

STOP RIGHT THERE! Don't do another home treatment, you will ruin your hair! You need to go to a colorist at this point and pay to have them strip your hair of the color you applied and then they need to re-dye it. :( This is why home color treatments are a big no-no. I'm sorry hon, but this is the BEST way or you risk to end up with a very scary hair color and severely damaged hair to boot! Better start scrimping and pinching your pennies! You poor poor girl. :(

i'm sorry to say this and i'm not just telling you this because I am a hair stylist, but the only way to really ensure your hair is going to turn out right is to go get it done professionally. It may be more expensive but it's better on your hair in the long run. Make sure it's a salon that has an excellent reputation as well.
