My hair is naturally blonde, but it is a yellow/blonde colour that i dont like and i want to dye it a more prettier blonde.

it shouldn't..but you should avoid chlorinated environments like swimming pools and hot tubs for at least a week after you color your hair.....chlorine is evil with hair coloring..I know from experience..my pretty blonde hair turned copper penny orange the first day high school when I had swimming class--I colored it at home the night before.

I have dark brown hair and attempted to highlight it with blonde, and totally didn't know that I should have used bleach or dyed it several times. Hahah. =)

I have the same natural colour as you, and despite the fact you are naturally fair you could well turn your hair orange. The hair colour that you want is a lot more ash toned than your natural colour and you could easily bring out all the coppery/auburny tones as you can't customise the toner etc that comes ina little box. Go to a hairdresser, they will do a great job and you'll feel a million bucks!

If you have natural blonde hair you shouldn't have any problems with orange. If you have any color on your hair it will turn out a big mess. In that case you need to see your stylist. Even if you are going to buy it yourself you should talk to them about it so you know what to expect .
