How can i dye my roots without having my hair fall out?

I bleached my hair about 3 years ago and i went through a stage where my hair broke off in chunks. Since then i have not bleached my hair at all, i just used regular hair dye for my roots and now my hair is long but all of a sudden everytime i dye my roots theres this one section of my hair in the back that broke off in chunks and my hair is constanley falling out in strands and its not like normal everyday hair loss. What can i use for hair to grow back in that spot?

First off your hair after bleaching broke off because you processed it either to long or to many times. I pray you have been using professional hair products, but something tells me your not. After doing a color or perm or bleach you must have prof products for that kind of hair to help with the damage that has been done. But also a reconstructive treatment you will use nightly if need be or every week until the damage is under control.

I had a friend who is a pro in this field and we bleached her hair. She did this knowing the damage would be great because her hair was in no shape to do this. She had me rinse it when she was done and it was so fragile that I couldn't even touch the hair while rinsing and some hair fall in my hands. She went to bed every night with a reconstructive treatment and her hair made it through with out falling out.

If you have way over processed your hair and you use prof products on after sometimes you can keep your hair from falling out. It is always best of course not to get in that place to begin with. I am not sure why your hair would still fall out with just reg hair color, but I am going to give you some idea"s and you can take it from there.

If you colored your hair shortly after the bleach it is still to much processing. If not you may be coloring the new growth and putting color on hair that already has color and didn't need any more, again over processed.

When doing your roots, (new growth or virgin hair) you should never cross the line of demarcation, ( where your hair has color already) If you do and are doing this to offen your hair is getting loaded with to much processing and color.

So your new growth is fine and the line of demarcation is getting processed again and again. Hair can fall out after so much of this. Plus with doing colors to much and offen your hair will get to a point it doesn't take the color anymore or much.

Also hair can fall out from stress and lack of vitamins. I would say unless you really have to color it you need to take a break and get your hair in better shape first.

1 Get professional hair products for damaged hair.

2 Get a reconstuctive treatment

3 Do a cleasing of your hair if you have been using over the counter products.

To do the treatment and the cleasing this is how you will do it.

Wash hair and apply the treatment or the cleasing mix (Baking soda, pro shampoo and water like a cake batter)

Now put a bag or cap over your head and heat with a hair blower. Then cover with a towel and let cool then rinse. Never rinse hair hot it can break.

Also you can buy professional hair color now in sallys or any beauty supply place. Make sure you are careful of what color you get. Take a look at the color wheel and the base color of the one your putting in and know the one in your hair.

Gooo to a hairstylist and tell them about your problem if you keep using over the counter hair dyes thats what moreless it will do to your hair... so your best bet is just to stop into a hair place one day and ask the lady what should you do about this problem and im sure that she will give you ideas or she might beable to give u a special dye or shampoo to stop your hair from falling out :]

-- But i would do is just give you hair sometime to grow out and ur roots also then maybe try the hair dyeee

-- Hope i helped :]
