Hot topic RAW hair dye?

i have fairly dark brown hair and i want to dye my hair with hot topic RAW black blue dye

but i really don't want to bleach my hair. im not going for an extreme blue effect, i want a subtler blue... so i think it will be okay but im not sure... anyone used this dye before? tips? suggestions? thankss : )

I haven't used this dye, but if you are not looking for a drastic effect, you have nothing to worry about... I do believe that this color will wash out with time... I think maybe you should just do a few streaks at first and see if you like it, and then if you want to go all over with it, then do it... enjoy!

honey it probably wont work the way you want it to. i dyed my fiances under layer of his hair blue, and his hair was a light brown and it came out like that really dark black color that looks blue in the light. maybe just do one bleach wash, even if its orange the blue would show and the orange woulnd not (oviously)

Heat set it (use a blow dryer on the dyed section for 5-7 minutes) and don't condition your hair beforehand or for the 2 days following the dye job. General opinion seems to be that it will show up in bright light, but you won't have a smurf-colored 'do (or a very noticeable blue tint in normal conditions).

Forum posters say that it's a big mess in the tub, so be careful.
