Kool aide as hair dye?

I have redish-brown hair.

I am wondering if it is a good idea to dye my hair with kool aide.

My mom wont let me dye it.

Does the kool aide hurt your hair?

I just want it to last a week or two.

How much would i use.

Also, I am just thinking about doing only the underlayer of my hair. and only the tips on that.

KoolAide is not made to be hair dye - you CAN use it but i'll drip right out and it'll only last a day. You have to have LIGHT blonde hair though.

ok i tried the whole kooleaide thing and it didnt work!!! i went to a salon and asked them about why it didnt work and they said you have t obleech your hair white first for the koolaide thing to work so i wouldnt do it if i were you.

it dosnt dye ur hair it just colors it and it probably wont work on dark hair either and if it does its not gonna last a week unless u dont wash ur hair for a week ( =

i would not suggest it, it never looks very good. Go to target and get color pulse. it's a hair mouse that colors your hair for only a few days to a few weeks depending how often you wash your hair.

I don't think you'll be able to see anything with Kool-Aid in your hair because it is too dark. And Kool-Aid doesn't hurt your hair, it'll just make it sticky and maybe hard to wash off. If you want one that will last for a while but not permanently, just buy a demi-permanent or semi-permanent hair dye.

NO god, don't. Ever. It might look okay for the first day, but every time you wash it it will be TERRIBLE looking. The color totally changes into a different color. Lets say you chose red, the next day it would be orange, blue it would turn green, so on and so forth. Plus it will make your hair look fried. The color NEVER GOES AWAY, either. You'll have it for a long long time.

Convince your mom to buy a wash out color. The best ones have an orange wrapper on them with a drawing of a cartoon girl with brightly colored hair. They come out really nice and make your hair silky smooth. I have no idea what brand name they are, though, sorry. Its been 2 years since I've used them. They last for awhile, three weeks or so, and it should definitely be out of your hair by then.

all i know is that when my friend tried it it didnt hurt his hair and it looked awesome. you should just keep putting it in until it looks good
