How do you get temp. hair dye out of your hair?

I dyed my hair red and purple in January. The dye was supposed to come out 10-16 washes, and it's still here, and I mean really here. I have prom in a week and I need to get it out because my hair will match my dress! I need somehting soon! My hair is naturaly dirty blond and I havn't dyed it before this.

that sucks temp colors stain your hair and since naturally blonde the stain will last much much longer.....I have two suggestions for you

1- get Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three (its a very good cleansing shampoo which should help the color come out)

2- you can try washing your a hair a few times with dish soap

(i know it weird but it really does work)

i would try these first and if they dont work for you then you might have to go to a salon and have someone strip it out

you shouldn't have to color it

Best of Luck

temp. dye can stain your hair

i'm sure that's what happened to you

you just have to go to a stylist or redye your hair a different color

Give your stylist a picture (a good one!) of your hair before you dyed it red/purple. Tell her you want your hair to turn out as close to that as possible. Then when it starts to grow out, you'll barely notice it, AND you'll be set for prom! =)

good luck!!!

It is still in there because your hair was damaged and porous. Try this before you head to a salon. Shampoo your hair with Redken Hair Cleansing Creme and 6-8 crushed up Natural Vit C tablets. Cover this mixture and your hair with a plastic cap. Add heat for 30-45 min. You can repeat this. Condition well. If there is still a trace, head to a salon.
