Hello...I dyed my hair from a medium brown to a reddish burgundy color, and it faded within a week. The dye says it's permanent though. So I think I need to switch brands. What brand is the best for non fading? Oh, and if this helps, the brand I bought was Revlon.

Revlon is terrible..but it's cheap. The best I have found is Garnier Nutrisse. I am a natural bonlde and I've been dyeing my hair dark auburn for 15 years. I been using Garnier for the past 8 years and it's fabulous! It deep conditions and doesn't fade. Also, make sure you are using a shampoo and conditioner that are formulated for colour-treated hair. if you use regular shampp and conditioner on dyed hair, it will wash the colour right out. Stay away from Revlon and Clariol. Both are terrible. When it comes to hair dye, you really get what you pay for!

Hello! Go to Sally beauty supply store or another good beauty supply store and get color charm color and some 20 cream developer. Ask the people that work there if you need any help. They are licensed cosmetologists. Color charm works well on my hair and doesn't fade much at all.

don't buy those hair dying products from like.. walmart. get your hair professionally colored. sure it will cost more, but your hair will look %26amp; feel much better.

Any time you color your hair with red or burgundy it will fade quickly, even if it is permanent color. The best thing to do is go to Sally's and buy haircolor there. It is better quality than what you would get elsewhere. Sally's will sell to non-professionals. Try Wella color. If you use better quality color, it will last longer, but red always fades quickly. Also, always rinse your hair in cold water, or as cool as you can stand it - that helps the color last longer. And use a creamy shampoo, as opposed to a clear or clarifying shampoo. Clear shampoo strips the color out.

Its time to ditch all the box dyes that you buy at the store, go to your local beauty supply store and get a color there, you'll have a wider selection of colors and they dont fade out nearly as fast, just be sure to get a bottle of deveploer, volume 20 should be good, and if your not sure on which to buy, just ask a store clerk.

I suggest 2 u 2 go to a stylist or if it's too expensive try a hairstyling school. If you want to keep doing hair on your own then I suggest Nice and Easy it works so well I use it on my own hair and I'm a stylist .
