What brand of hair dye works for you?

I just want to get something from the drugstore and it never seems like they turn out the same color as the box. (I'm going for something in a cool tone--maybe an ash blond; my hair is kind of a warm blond right now, but it's mousy naturally.)

Go to Sally Beauty Supply.

They sell these products to the unlicensed; professional grade colors which are better and probably less expensive than the box.

Look in the L'Oreal.

Be careful who you ask for advice there, not everyone is licensed.

I'd be careful of the ashes; if your hair is too porous, they can turn green (khaki). Go more with a neutral, and adjust your tone from there.

Email me if you need more help.

When you buy color from stores, you have to understand. Your results are not going to be the same as on the box because, it depends on the color your hair is to start off with. First, look on box to determine how many level it say the color will lift. This means, what ever level it lifts is going to be how many levels it will lift your hair.
