I bought the Garnier fructis hairdye, and Ive heard differnt from didffferent people, wheteher or not to dye hair when its clean or dirty. What should I do?

Also, can I straighten it or curl it with an iron after I dye it? If not how long should i wait?

It is best to dye dirty hair or at least 24 hours since your last shampoo. You can curl it with an iron right after you dye it. If you mean to straighten it with an iron you can do that to. Don't chemically straighten it for two weeks after dying.

constant heat will make the color more dull, so you probably want to straighten or curl your hair occasionally,

if not, there are shampoos that can revive your hair color.

I would suggest that it is clean but at least 24 hours after you last washed it. Your head has oils on it that will protect your scalp when you dye it, but you don't need too much of it in there or it will coat your hair and actually keep the dye from doing its job.

As long as your hair doesn't feel too affected by the dye, you can style it as usual. But if your hair feels very dry after-wards, I would put a conditioning treatment and wait 24 hours to heat style it.

well i think clean cause if u had dirt it would stay in with the blend of colour. and i personally don't like to die my hair anymore, because it really damages your hair and ruins it. But u can straighten it and curl it at any length as long as ur hair isn't like 6 inches.

I think your hair should be clean and dry of course for the color to oxidize and penetrate the hair shaft. It makes no sense to color dirty hair if you ask me. And yes you can straighten or curl your hair its not youve recieved a permanent wave(perm) or anything...most people blow dry their hair straight after a color service.

Not dirty, but do not wash the day before or something. It really depends on your hair texture...for me, I should wait a while. You can straighten and curl your hair right after, but I think you do have to wait a while to wash it again...the best thing to do is to ask a pro.
