Ok well I used color fix to do it and my results thus far is darker brown hair with like red high lights? Is that normal? Or is the red bad and that means its about to fall out? I also bought some hair dye to use after it and the lady at Sallys said it recommned to color your hair after you strip it is that true? Another question is if it is normal then how is my natural hair color blonde but now I have brown and red? I am confused...
Stripping black hair dye?
The brown and red is the layers of color being lifted. Black lifts like dark brown, red, orange, blond. The red parts have less black in them now than the brown parts. Generally, yes, you would want to dye your hair again to get an even tone after you lift your hair. But at this point, it sounds like you need to go see a professional for some color correction - or, bask in the warm weather and reach for the clippers
Stripping black hair dye?
Well before what i have now my hair was black. And i stripped it to be to my regular color. First i thought that it was supposed to be the natural color, because thats what it did with me, but thats only because my hair color is brown with red highlights, so yes its normal for the colors to turn that color. If i was you i would dye it that color afterward, i didnt need to because after the stripping it was my natural color. But yeah, thats whats supposed to happen.
