Ginger Hair Dye?

I have been trying to find a hair dye that will turn my hair a ginger colour from my natural medium-dark brown. Is there a brand that anyone could suggest?

To specify a colour, I do actually mean ginger hair, not a dark auburn. For further reference, similar colour to Dan Wright, British comedian.

If your hair is darker than the shade you want you will have to bleach it first, so a professional job is safer I reckon. Some of the Henna dyes are good ginger and Naturtint copper blond is pretty bright, but they won't give the colour you want on dark hair.

Auburn dye's come in dark medium and light, I have never seen one called ginger.

best thing i can tell you is to bleach to the ginger stage (whilst bleach is on it goes through stages as it strips the naruaral pigment out of hair, you will see reddish/orange first then ginger) just make sure you wash it off before you get to the pale yellow stage (blonde) if you truly want to be ginger then this is the best way
