Getting red hair dye out???

i used this red hair dye and it was supposed to be out in a week, but it's still in and it's three weeks later! i went to a pool party a few days after using the dye. does chlorine have an effect on how long it stays in the hair? i want my brown back!

Unfortuantely red is the hardest color besides black to get out. First try mixing baking soda with a clarifying shampoo and let it set for a few. if that doesn't work try putting head and shoulder shampoo on your hair for 30 min. If that still doesn't work go to sally's and get a clarifiying treatment and mix it with Disitilled water( it has no minerals to affect the treatment) that should do it

Dye your hair brown. Duh. I love my red hair, it's natural and totally thinned out. YAY.

The EXACT same thing happened to me, except I'm light blonde so it stained my hair!

I used color pulse to dye my hair, so when it wouldn't come out I used the blonde dye. It DID make my hair darker but the red came out because of it.

Unfortunately the dye never fully came out and the only reason I have normal hair now is because I cut it....and it took about a year before it looked normal again.

My advice is to dye your hair back brown with the same stuff you used.

No, if anything the chlorine would help it to come out.. bc chlorine is a chemical... idk maybe dye brown over top of it again and when its done wash it so the red will wash out with the brown and then maybe 2 days later or so dye it brown again and maybe that will work :]
