Blonde hair dye; what's a good brand and color...?

I'm not going to a hairdresser to do it,

and I'm aware that it probably won't turn out as well if I dye it at home.

but that's how I plan on doing it.

I've dyed it blonde (not as light) once before,

but since that was awhile ago my hair is now a golden blonde.
