Help dying hair no dye?

I have really dark brown hair everyone thinks it's black because it's so dark. I put hydrogen peroxide in it so it's got a bit of red shimmer but it's only noticeable in the sun. I really don't want red hair I want dark brown hair, how to I achieve that without it being really red and with out hair dye (my mom won't let me use dye) Lemon Juice, Peroxide, and sun in will turn my hair red

well, there is a brand of hair color called color pulse, its by lorial or however you spell it. on the back, it has a thing that shoes you what color you're hair will turn. you can do it a couple of times over if you want it really red. also try garnier fructis color. i used both and my hair is really red. allmost like an apple, and my real color IS black. so try those and see if they work. well, i guess its not dye. but the color pulse is more of a paint-lie thing, much better for you'r gair that chemicals.

Unfortunately, black hair is the hardest color to change. In fact, it's virtually impossible without bleaching it down to a light color. With reference to lemon juice, peroxide and sun, none of these will really help change black into brown. Sorry, but the only way to really change the color is bleaching.

Lightening black hair will usually bring up red.... there are new gels now with color in them... they're temporary, so if you dont' like them, they wash out..... if you have aSally's Beauty Supply store, go in and ask....
