Does non-permanent hair dye change the texture of your hair???

i havent dyed my hair before but i was going to. i was going to use non-peranent dye that would wash out in 8-10 washes. any suggestions on brand and also does it change the texture of your hair?

it makes the hair follicles flat, so your hair is kinda " squeeky" that sounds odd but thats the only way i can explain it. You hair will be more flat than usual. And if you have a light color hair the temorary color will not wash out completely in 8-10 washes. It just gets more and more faded.

I died my hair black a couple of times, but I can't remember the brand, that was last summer. It didn't change the hair texture, though, just the color, thankfully.
