Hair dye n00b?

Okay, so I have naturally dirty blonde hair and I'm bored with it so I want to dye it a more reddish/strawberry blonde. If I use a semi-permanent dye, will that work? I just don't want it turning orange or anything. And I don't really feel like going to a salon, I just want to do it myself.

I'm thinking about Saharan Rose (Clairol Natural Instincts), anybody have any advice?

It'll dye ur hair, but it won't wash out completely. You'll either have to keep dying it or if you want it back to ur natural color then stop dying it and just let it grow out for a REALLY long time.

my original hair color is a dark brown and when i wanted it to come out reddish-brown, i picked a reddish brown hair dye. however, it did NOT show because of my original darkness of hair. second time around, i bought an extremely bright red hair dye and THAT showed a reddish brown. i'm just trying to say that i'm not sure if the saharan rose will change your blonde hair to reddish/strawberry blonde. and what do you mean by semi-permanent? most hair dyes are permanent. if it's semi-permanent it will probably wash out after 3-4 times of shampooing.
