Hair dye gone wrong ?

I dyed my hair purple a week or so ago and when i shower hsit dye still comes out. Is that meant to happen?

If you used a rinse or semi-permanent color it will continue coming out until it gone. Permanent dyes are not supposed to come out unless you didn't rinse it thoroughly.

usually that works on a rinse hair dye but whatever hair dye you use the vrand try to find the shampoo and conditioner and everthing and use that the color shouldnt come out

How much a hair dye stays in the hair - how much the hair 'grabs' color - depends on alot of different things - your race and any previous hair color products on the hair - as well as any damage, natural color, and hair products/styling methods you use.

In general, the funky colors - green, shocking red, pink, blue, purple, etc - are semi-permenant color and are meant to wash out. I know there are some permanent ones out there - and thats where the condition of your hair and all the things I mentioned aboce comes in to play.

When I was in high school, I would dye my hair all the time. Unfortunately enough, I'm 22 now and can't any longer get away with it. If you are using non-permeant stuff (example: Manic Panic), it gradually comes out. So, after a shower just use some rubbing alcohol to get the color off. I think.. to get the color to stay longer, you're supposed to bleach your hair before you use the color. Okay, well keep rockin' the color.
