Pink or blue hair dye?

Ive been thinking about dying parts of my hair hot pink or blue or some other crazy color but i have very dark hair. does anyone know any hair dyes [i would prefer temporary but i will do permanent] that will show up on dark hair. i dont want to bleach it and then dye it though.

Pink. As I can see, u r looking for a soft scene look. Not too flashy, but trendy and stylish. I like your idea of "screamy" colors in dark hair. If I went for that kind of look, i would probably go with hot pink. The contrast always looks great. Blue is too similar to darker hair colors.

If u want an intense and clear color, u will first have to bleach the parts of hair u want to dye. On a light base, the color would always look brighter. It's like painting on a white paper.

I don' t really have any tips but I do have a story. I got pink tips in my hair, ( I bleached the tips first), It looked sooooo cool. Then a week later the pink was gone and now I'm stuck with blonde tips. Everyone says it looks cool, but it's not the same. good luck !

I also have dark hair, I got some cheap permanant hair dye and put some red highlights in a few years ago. They showed up perfectly! and faded into an awesome pink! I recommend going to your local beauty supply store and getting something there, if you don't have one, try walmart! I don't remember the brand that I got, but I don't think it matters, if you leave it on your hair until you see a difference then it should work! I always leave it on longer than what the box says... but DO NOT go over 45-50 min!

P.S. I'd go with pink highlights! = )

You have to bleach it first if you want dramatic results. Otherwise, the color wouldn't show up, or anly show up a little bit.

i've done both... it doesnt matter which one you do, it will fade out within a few weeks. (it's not possible to make permanant unnatural colored hairdye)

so you could try both in a short period of time.

and you'd have to bleach out your hair first. sorry, but it doesnt show up on dark hair.
